Thank you to everyone who joined us on June 10 at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences – Nature Research Center in Raleigh for NCAI's 2026 Q2 Chapter Business Meeting & Legislative Reception. The evening brought together appraisal professionals, chapter leaders, and policymakers from across North Carolina for networking, advocacy, and important chapter updates.

The evening kicked off with a Legislative Reception, connecting appraisal professionals and key policymakers for an engaging night of conversation and relationship-building.

Legislative Reception

The event began with the Legislative Reception, providing members with a unique opportunity to connect directly with legislators, legislative staff, and other key decision-makers in a collaborative setting.

Guests enjoyed drinks and heavy hors d'oeuvres while engaging in meaningful conversations about the appraisal profession and issues impacting the real estate valuation industry. The reception offered an important opportunity to strengthen relationships with policymakers and reinforce the role appraisers play as trusted resources in support of informed public policy.

Q2 Chapter Business Meeting

Following the reception, attendees gathered for dinner and the Q2 Chapter Business Meeting.

NCAI President Greyson Morgan, MAI, welcomed attendees and shared updates on chapter initiatives, recent accomplishments, and priorities for the remainder of the year.

Members heard reports from chapter leadership and committees covering a variety of topics, including education programming, government relations efforts, chapter operations, financial updates, and upcoming events. Additional updates highlighted the ongoing work being done to support members and advance the appraisal profession throughout North Carolina.

Committee reports showcased initiatives related to advocacy, professional development, scholarship programs, public relations, and both residential and commercial real estate valuation.

During the meeting, Greyson Morgan, MAI, also recognized Nathan Pippin, SRA, AI-RRS, for his recently earned AI-RRS designation. Nathan is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser licensed in North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida, with more than 20 years of experience in valuation, appraisal review, consulting, and education.

The meeting provided an opportunity for members to stay informed about chapter activities, engage with leadership, and discuss issues affecting the profession at both the state and national levels.
