Community Land Trust (CLT) Appraisal Training
ZOOM North Carolina
Friday, March 17, 2023, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM EDT
Category: Education
NEW SEMINAR! There is an approximate housing supply shortage of 3.8 million units in the U.S. – but community land trusts (CLTs) can help keep more homes affordable. CLTs are typically managed by public or nonprofit organizations and use a self-sustaining model for lasting affordability. CLTs sell a home at below-market value to an eligible homebuyer who secured financing from a lender. In exchange for getting an affordable home, the homeowner agrees to certain restrictions on home resale. To meet the growing demand for CLTs, the Appraisal Institute and Freddie Mac are offering this comprehensive training to provide residential appraisers with the tools and knowledge needed to accept and complete more CLT appraisal assignments. This 4-hour synchronous program may also be of great interest to lenders. CE Credit: NC Appraisal Board Approved for 4 Hours *Students seeking CE credit for this course from a state other than North Carolina are responsible for confirming with that state’s licensing board that this course will be accepted.
