The LDAC is a group of dedicated appraise rs who come together once a year in Washington, D.C., to formulate solution s to problems and challenges faced by the appraisal profession. LDAC has se rved as a source of leadership and as an inspiration for new programming id eas for the Appraisal Institute since 1969. Through a series of roundtable discussions, LDAC provides a forum where ideas and opinions on targeted top ics of concern to the appraisal profession are exchanged. Ask any LDAC alum ni, and they will undeniably tell you that LDAC has been one of their most positive experiences with the Appraisal Institute!
< span style="font-size: 15px;">Parking is a critical component for most real estate properties and also represents a valuable stand-alone investment. T his seminar will present an overview of this often misunderstood industry a nd explore the various intricacies of parking from a zoning and market pers pective and how this affects value. The program will cover parking rates ra nging from the national level down to North Carolina. Specific valuation p rocedures applicable to parking facilities will be presented. The seminar w ill wrap-up with a coverage of hot topics such as automated garages, how sh ared parking uses impact mixed-use urban project, the impact of car sharing services (“TNC’s”) like Uber and Lyft, and how autonomous cars may disrupt the parking industry.

Parking Property Advisors and is a seasoned commercial real estate professi
onal with a diverse background including a 30-year career working in North Carolina. Ted has been an appraiser, a regul
ator, a buyer and a lender and has personal experience on “all sides” of a
commercial real estate transaction. Parking Property Advisors is a speciali
zed Commercial Real Estate Services and consulting company based in Naples,
Florida. Ted was previously the Director of Acquisitions for a $275 millio
n-dollar fund administered by Forge Capital Partners and was responsible fo
r sourcing and financing real estate activities targeting retail investment
s within the funds five state southeast geographic region, including North
