7-Hour National USPAP 2022-2023 Update Course

This 7-hour update course, copyrighted by The Appraisal Foundation, focuses on recent changes to USPAP requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by appraisers. The course, which clarifies several commonly misunderstood aspects of USPAP, will aid participants in all areas of appraisal practice seeking updated competency in USPAP, including those subject to state licensing or certification and continuing education requirements imposed by professional organizations, client groups, or employers.

NOTE. Appraisers must successfully complete the 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course every 2 years to meet the USPAP continuing education requirement.

CLASS MATERIALS:

  • Students are responsible for obtaining the NEW 2022-23 7-Hour National USPAP Update Student Manual & the NEW 2022 USPAP Reference Manual. Both can be purchased here: https://www.appraisalfoundation.org/imis/TAF/store/TAF/Products.aspx
  • Students are responsible for downloading or obtaining hard copies of the class materials. If downloading, please download before the class. Materials can be found in your Appraisal Institute account.

PHOTO ID REQUIRED: Students will need to send a photo (ex: driver license photo) to [email protected] after registering. Our instructor will be verifying the photo identification of students during roll call at the beginning and throughout the class. This is a requirement, and you will not receive credit if we do not have a photo to verify your identification with.

VIDEO/AUDIO REQUIRED: Our instructor must be able to see/hear you and you must be able to see/hear the instructor. Zoom Meeting allows student/instructor interaction through video/audio and the chat function. This is a requirement, and you will not receive credit if you do not have video/audio capabilities to see/hear the instructor/allow the instructor to see/hear you.

CE Credit Approval: NC Appraisal Board Approved for 7 Hours 

*Students seeking CE credit for this course from a state other than North Carolina are responsible for confirming with that state’s licensing board that this course will be accepted. The North Carolina Chapter recommends students check before registering* 

About the Instructor: John Bosworth, MAI, SRA

Since 1984, John Bosworth, MAI, SRA has been involved in many facets of the real estate business. Bosworth holds the MAI and SRA appraisal designations awarded by the Appraisal Institute and is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in North Carolina and South Carolina. In a related real estate capacity, Bosworth is also a licensed North Carolina Real Estate Broker and is a Realtor member of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors. Bosworth is a Senior Managing Director for Valbridge Property Advisors in the Charlotte Metropolitan Area.
