In this webinar, North Carolina Appraisal Board’s Executive Director, Don Rodgers, and Deputy Director, Tom Lewis, will cover complaints process, hybrids/bifurcated, evaluations, rulemaking, upcoming regulatory issues, common complaints/errors and all other questions and concerns appraisers have. You are invited to submit questions for Don and Tom in advance here.

Speakers

Don Rodgers
Don Rodgers is the Executive Director of the North Carolina Appraisal Board.  He has been on the Board staff since 2000, serving as an Investigator and later as Deputy Director of Education, before becoming the Director in 2009. Don grew up in Rutherfordton, NC and attended R-S Central High School.  He is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Management and a Master of Science in Business Management.  He began his appraisal career in 1991, is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor. Don is a Past-President of the Association of Appraiser Regulatory Officials (AARO) and a Past-Chairman of The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council (TAFAC).  He has also taught both Investigator and Regulator training through AARO. He and his wife Donna, live in Fuquay-Varina, NC, and have a twelve-year old son Hunter.

Tom Lewis
Tom Lewis is the Deputy Director and Chief Investigator for the North Carolina Appraisal Board and has begun his fifteenth year of employment.  Tom oversees the investigations section of the Board’s enforcement program, where he performs investigations and manages the caseloads of two other investigators. Tom is an NC State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and a graduate of Western Carolina University, where he holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice.  A graduate of the North Carolina Military Academy, Tom retired from military service in the North Carolina Army National Guard as a Military Policeman.  Tom is a former staff appraiser for the North Carolina Department of Transportation and briefly worked as a Collateral Risk Analyst for the Equifirst Corporation.
