Brian Bailey is a Subject Matter Expert in the Supervision, Regulation, & Credit Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. He is responsible for providing thought leadership and monitoring emerging trends in commercial real estate. He provides guidance on CRE industry dynamics, valuation, operation, and finance issues. Brian has been actively involved as a lead Wholesale reviewer in the annual stress test and capital review (CCAR & HCR) conducted on the nation’s largest financial institutions. Brian has been requested to share his thoughts on commercial real estate at hundreds of venues including the Federal Reserve System, multiple U.S. Federal Agencies, many universities such as the Wharton School, industry conferences, and syndicated radio.

Brian has extensive experience, spanning both the public and private sectors, with commercial real estate valuation, transaction, development, and financial issues. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Brian spent 15 years in various real estate industry positions. He was employed by the private equity firm Tavistock Group to oversee real estate finance and acquisitions. Before joining Tavistock, Brian was the Director of Real Estate Finance for Flagler Development Group, Florida’s largest commercial real estate developer. Brian’s experience includes working for EY (Ernst & Young), where he was an executive. Prior to joining E&Y, Brian founded and operated an industrial development company that specialized in the acquisition, development, and refurbishment of industrial properties. Prior to that, Brian got his start in commercial real estate as a local market appraiser.

Ryan is a Senior Managing Director in the Carolinas office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and is primarily responsible for investment sales advisory transactions throughout the Carolinas region. Ryan is a co-leader of JLL’s National Office Group, he has completed more than $8 billion in commercial real estate transactions during his career.

Ryan started at HFF in July 2014. Before that, he was an executive vice president with CBRE in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office from 2012 to 2014, and the Charlotte office for 14 years prior to that time from 1998 to 2012. During his time with CBRE, Ryan was recognized by the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR) as the No. 1 Overall Market Producer for seven consecutive years from 2005 to 2011. While in Washington D.C., he was a Top 15 Producer for the firm both years he was in the market and was a Top 200 Producer in CBRE’s Americas region six of nine years between 2005 and 2013. While at HFF, Ryan earned this designation again in both 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Sharon F. DiPaolo is a partner at Siegel Jennings, Co., L.P.A., a national law firm specializing in property assessment law for over 50 years. As a member of the firm's Leadership Team, she manages its Pennsylvania practice and concentrates exclusively on Pennsylvania assessment law. With extensive experience handling thousands of assessment appeals—from administrative hearings to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court—Sharon also serves as national outside counsel for clients with multi-state portfolios. She represents Western Pennsylvania in the American Property Tax Counsel (APTC) and previously chaired its National Conference for six years.

A nationally recognized speaker and author on real estate assessment issues, Sharon has presented at major industry conferences and testified before the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Policy Committee. Her work has been featured in numerous publications, including Bloomberg BNA Report and National Real Estate Investor Online. In 2021, she was awarded the prestigious CRE® designation by The Counselors of Real Estate®. Sharon began her legal career in commercial litigation and later focused solely on property assessment law. She holds degrees from Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and remains active in several professional and civic organizations, including IPT, CREW Pittsburgh, and the Allegheny County Bar Association.

Miles L. Hamrick Sr., MAI, AI-GRS, has worked with many lenders, investors, trusts, attorneys, financial advisors, and individuals – providing residential and commercial valuation and consulting services over the past 35 years. Miles has testified in superior court, federal bankruptcy court, civil court, and many legal depositions.

Mr. Hamrick was appointed to the Gaston County, North Carolina Board of Equalization and Review in 2013, where he served as chairperson from 2016 to 2019. He has served on the National Appraisal Institute Professional Standards and Guidance Committee, chaired the North Carolina AI Chapter Scholarship Committee and has taught Appraisal Qualifying Education at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. His firm operates as a boutique valuation and consulting operation, specializing in complex and oddball properties.

Anjanette “AJ” Hutson, MAI, AI-GRS, is the Executive Managing Director of Quality Assurance at Colliers Valuation & Advisory Services, where she leads the quality assurance team with a focus on internal review, portfolio management, training, and risk management. With a career spanning over two decades, AJ brings deep expertise in commercial real estate valuation, appraisal review, and process management. Prior to joining Colliers in 2022, she held leadership roles at Truist Bank (formerly BB&T), including Commercial Valuation Manager and Appraisal Department Manager. Her earlier roles include valuation consulting at CBIZ Valuation Counselors and collateral appraisal at Wells Fargo. AJ holds both the MAI and AI-GRS designations from the Appraisal Institute and serves on the Appraisal Standards Board (2023–2024). She earned a BA with departmental honors from Hollins University and has completed additional professional education through Wake Forest University and the American Bankers Association. AJ is certified in North Carolina and is a member of several professional organizations, including CHIEF and various Appraisal Institute committees.

Prior to joining CoStar, Nick led the market research team at the real estate investment firm Dilweg, advising on company acquisitions and strategy in several Sun Belt markets. Nick’s research informed decisions on hundreds of millions of dollars of commercial real estate acquisitions. Nick began his career as a practicing attorney. He is based in Raleigh.

Sandra is a graduate of Furman University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration. During her 30+ years of commercial real estate experience, she has held a variety of positions from asset management to valuation. Having served as Chief Appraiser for United Community Bank, and Vice President with regional responsibilities for three of the nation’s largest banks, SunTrust, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America, she was actively involved in real estate risk management, policy formulation, and strategic planning. In addition, she was President and founder of the River Oaks Group, LLC. and a principal at Novogradac & Co., LLP, a public accounting firm specializing in historic tax credits and low-income housing tax credits.

Ms. Winter earned the "MAI" professional designation from the Appraisal Institute in 1994. She is an active participant in the valuation industry and has served in various leadership roles for the Atlanta Area Chapter, Region IX, and nationally. In 2004, Governor Sonny Perdue appointed Ms. Winter to the Georgia Real Estate Appraisers Board where she served as Vice Chair until 2014.
